Overview
You may want to build a permanent version as a cape that you will simply install when needed.
What you will need
- BeagleBone Black
- BeagleBone expandable case Orange or Black (recommended)
- AC adapter 5 Volts, 2 Amp (optional)
- Proto Cape
- Proto Parts Kit
- Soldering iron, solder and insulated wires
- (1) Green LED
- (1) Red LED
- (1) Yellow LED (Tri-color RGY LED)
- (1) Push-button (may look different)
- (5) Resistors 330 Ohms
- (1) Transistor 2N7000
- (1) Buzzer 12mm 5V (beeping type)
These components are included in the parts kit (PTK-027)

Instructions
Step 1
Using the photo as a guide, place the components on the Proto Cape. Note that the Buzzer and LEDs are polarized (+) and (-), and must be installed correctly to work. The convention is longer wire = (+).
The flat face of the transistor is placed against the buzzer. The LED flat spot is to the right (in photo below)

Step 2
Wire the components as shown (soldering required).Transistor and LED Pin assignment diagrams
Step 3
Solder the P8 and P9 double row pin strip headers as shown.Step 4
Verify your connections (twice!).Wiring Listing
